Long Beach, CA is home to a few theaters while some host local plays and events, Musical Theater West on the East side of Long Beach, CA you will often experience Broadway plays and other special events. Long Beach, CA also has a long running Municipal Band which often puts on shows through out the city.
If a night on the town is what you are up for or looking to host an important meeting downtown has an impressive 100 different locations with in an 8 block radius in downtown Long Beach, CA.
Another great event that takes place is Yoga out doors is hosted on the Green Bluff corner of Ocean Blvd and Junipero Ave overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Spots fill fast so bring a mat and for some shade park your self under the massive tree.
Long Beach also knows how to drink. First things first: Long Beach has a slew of dive bars that rival Los Angeles’. Places like Fern’s Cocktails and the Prospector offer a rockabilly vibe and weekly karaoke. The Prospector and Alex’s Bar are the best places to see live music in the city. For a straight-up dive, the Red Room is great for close-quartered hipster meetups, while V Room leans towards an older crowd and is the perfect place for quiet drinks and pool during the week.
